The Travel service in Hólmur offers fascinating evening beach trips from Hólmur, on request.

The view to the mountains surrounding Hornafjordur is breathtaking. Departure from Hólmur at 8:00 pm in the summer. We drive along the coast and stop for about an hour, where passengers get the opportunity to walk on the beach, watch the Atlantic and enjoy the fresh sea air. Arrival back in Hólmur is at  9:30-10:00 pm. It is best to book trips in advance.
