In this magnificent nature, everyone can find enjoyable recreation; the Vatnajökull region offers lots of activities, scenic views, historical sites, quaint towns and points of interest.  For example:  take a swim in the brand new geothermal-heated swimming pool in the town of Höfn, sample regional foods at local restaurants or enjoy numerous outdoor activities including, bird watching, golf,  horseback riding, kayaking, mountaineering, trekking, glacier walking, ice climbing, boat tours, ATV tours and glacier tours via super jeeps or snowmobiles.
