Hali Restaurant

Our fully licensed restaurant is located in the cultural heritage center at Þórbergssetur, with seating for over 60 guests. Daily menu, offering our specialities such as the farm-raised arctic char (trout) as well as other traditional Icelandic food. Ideal facilities for meetings or smaller groups. From 1st of July to 1st of September the restaurant offers a buffet including traditional local food, soup, starters, arctic char, lamb and dessert at a reasonable price.

During the wintertime breakfast and dinner reservations are necessary.

From October to April the restaurant and the museum are open from 12 pm. to 17 pm. all days except Monday. Visits outside normal opening hours can be arranged with us.

Ósinn restaurant, at the ground floor in Hótel Höfn, offers variety of fast food, light meals and steaks and lobster courses.

Fosshótel Skaftafell Restaurant

Fosshotel Skaftafell - our Glacier Hotel South - offers a restaurant that seats 90-100 people and is divided in two parts. One area is dedicated to groups while the other one offers more tranquility and privacy to the guests ordering „a la carte“. The hotel is very popular for lunch groups. The hotel has a fully licensed bar on the second floor with an outstanding view over the Vatnajökull glacier. The restaurant is open all year exept December.

Smyrlabjörg Country Hotel and Restaurant

In summertime a fantastic buffet is available in the evening, along with an all-day a la carte menu. The emphasis is on regional recipes, using both foods grown on the farm and locally sourced fresh produce.

The restaurant is open all days of the week from the beginning of May to the end of September. Winter opening for groups on request.
