Dyngja Gesthouse

Dyngja Guesthouse Dyngja is located right by the harbor in Höfn. It provides rooms decorated in country style with warm colors along with a cozy guest lounge with music, books and coffee free of charge. All guest rooms have shared bathrooms. The hosts live in Dyngja and are eager to make their guests feel as at home. The rooms feature fine bed linen, towels and bath ropes. Wi-Fi and parking are free. The spacious shared terrace offers panoramic views of Höfn Harbour. There are two wonderful restaurants on the other side of the street.

Frost and Fire Guesthouse in Öræfi

Frost and Fire, guesthouse at Hof in Öræfi district is open from May to
September.  Hof is located in one of the most beautiful and distinctive
parts of Iceland "The land between the sands" in the southeast.  The huge
glacier Öræfajökull towers above it, the black sands of Skeiðarársandur
spread out in front, birdcliff Ingólfshöfði at the shore, Skaftafell
National Park is close by and the magical world of Jökulsárlón glacial
lagoon is a short distance to the east.
The guesthouse has 21 rooms, a reception with a large lounge and a spacious
dining room. On groundfloor there are new baths, a sauna, a hot pot
(yacuzzi) and new relaxation facilities available for guests in the
guesthouse.  All communal areas are adorned with original artworks by some
of Iceland´s leading artists.

Hali in Suðursveit

The nearest guesthouse to the Jökulsárlón.
In guesthouse Hali there are 21 rooms both single, double and triple rooms in 3 guesthouses sleeping a total of 45 people. All the rooms come with wash basin and shared bathroom facilities.In guesthouse 1 we offer 5 double rooms all with wash basin and one single room, two bathrooms with showers and perfect cooking facilities. In guesthouse 2 we offer 6 double rooms all with wash basin, two bathrooms with showers and perfect cooking facilities. On the 1st of July 2008 we opened a brand new guesthouse with were we offer 9 double rooms all with wash basin, four bathrooms with showers but no cooking facilities.
We are open all year around and whatever the season, you´ll find lots of reasons to explore our beautiful region.

Lækjarhús in Suðursveit

Lækjarhús is a farm located by highway no.1, surrounded by the landscape of Vatnajökull glacier. It offers accommodation in ten rooms in two separate houses. Breakfast is available and also cooking facilities. Scenic, marked walking trails are in the area, with interesting sites, such as Jöklulsárlón (Glacier lagoon) and Skálafell glacier tours centre, in the vicinity.

Skálafell in Suðursveit

Skálafell is by highway nr.1, midway between Höfn and Jökulsárlón (Glacier lagoon). It offers accommodation in single and double rooms with access to shared facilities and a spacious living room. It also has 6 rooms with private bathroom facilities in a separate house. There are beautiful hiking grounds in the area.

Brunnhóll in Mýrar

Brunnhóll offers accommodation in 20 double and triple, non-smoking rooms, of which 18 have private bathrooms. Special facilities for disabled are available. The Guesthouse has a common, bright and spacious kitchen and a living room. Brunnhóll is situated by highway no. l, it has a nice glacier view and a marked walking trail to Fláajökull glacier (6 km). Maps of marked hiking trails are available. Dinner and breakfast is available for guests. Bus for the glacier trips stops at the farm.

Hoffell guesthouse in Nes
Hofell II, 781 Hornafjörður

Hoffell Guesthouse is about 19 kilometers from the town of Höfn and 3 kilometers from road number 1. Hoffell is a place of natural contrasts where steep mountains, geothermal nature baths and floating icebergs in a glacial lagoon combine to make lasting impressions on its visitors. Hoffell Guesthouse offers accommodation in two old renovated houses close to the Vatnajökull glacier. Breakfast is included but nor served, the guests will prepare their own breakfast with fresh homemade bread and other options from the refrigerator.

In one of the houses there is a well equipped kitchen which guests can use to make their own meals. Our guests have access to our geothermal baths free of charge. Many options for outdoor activity and beautiful hiking trails are in the area. Hoffell guesthouse is open all year around.

In Hoffell there are five natural tubs that are open from 07:00 to 23:00 free of charge for our guests to use.

The hosts at Hoffell Guesthouse offer evening tours to Hoffell glacier and
the newly formed glacial lagoon in front of the glacier. It is a part of
Vatnajökull National Park and the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the
scenery while getting to know Hoffell's rich history and nature a little
better. The tour requires a minimum participation of two persons. Booking in
advance is necessary.

Dilksnes - guesthouse

Dilksnes is a guesthouse and a market garden. Dilksnes accommodation has two rooms with shared access to kitchen and bathroom. One bedroom for three persons and one bedroom with one double bed and a bunkbed for two. Dilksnes is 4 km from Höfn and 1 km from the ring road. Dilksnes is open all year round. Breakfast is not served.

Dilksnes estate is characterized by grassy hills with moorland in between.The hills give panoramic view of the beautiful mountain circle of Hornafjörður, from Öræfajökull in the west to Horn in the east. The birdlife at Dilksnes has great variety, especially in the wetland and marshes around Hornafjörður.

The owners of the Dilksnes estate are Bjarni Hákonarson, Finndís Harðardóttir and their sons. They bought the estate in 1990 and established the market garden in spring 1991. The guesthouse was established in spring 2010.

Hvammur Guesthouse in Höfn

Guesthouse Hvammur are a nice guesthouses located in the heart of the town Hofn, one is down by the harbour. It has a great view over the harbour as well as the glaciers in the west. The other one is by the famous golfcourse with great wiev to the glaciers. They have 30 rooms all with zink and cable TV. Nearby are great hiking paths with a lot of birds to see and the famous entrance to the harbour. We are open all year around.
